Broseley Win areas
This year despite formidable opposition Broseley Brass won the 1st section Eastern Counties area qualifying round held at Stevenage. We had the daunting prospect of playing first in the section but our performance was obviously enough to satisfy Dr. Childs that he’d had heard the winning band play and he awarded us the highest score in all of the results from all the areas.
With consistent results over the last few years Broseley has now been promoted to the Championship section next year.
So now we’re planning our trip to Harrogate in September for the First section finals and it hardly seems possible that the last time we made this journey was back in 1998 for the finals of the 3rd section. At that time we had come second at Stevenage pipped at the post by one point by Brent Brass also conducted by our MD Paul Fensom.
